The operation is part of the Pinellas County Sheriff's on-going commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of the Wolf Pack is to educate people and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.

What: In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and deaths, deputies will conduct a Wolf Pack operation in Pinellas County over the weekend.
When: The operation will begin at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 and continue until 5 a.m., Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Where: Deputies and other law enforcement officers will monitor traffic throughout Pinellas County.
How/Why: Pinellas County deputies, in conjunction with the Florida Highway Patrol, Largo Police Department, St. Petersburg Police Department, Kenneth City Police Department, and the Gulfport Police Department will conduct a DUI Wolf Pack operation. They will maintain a proactive profile over the weekend on the highly-traveled roadways of Pinellas County.
The operation will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, and continue until 5 a.m., on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.), Chaplains Outreach Ministries, and the Suncoast Safety Council will be supporting law enforcement during the operation.
