Anna M. Davis (Injured Pedestrian) DOB: 12/23/1967 Address: 1025 Phillippe Parkway, Apartment #41, Safety Harbor What: Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a serious vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Safety Harbor.
When: The crash occurred at about 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Where: The crash occurred at the intersection of McMullen Booth Road and Enterprise Road in Safety Harbor.
Why/How: According to investigators, 47-year-old Anna Davis was walking eastbound crossing McMullen Booth Road at the intersection of Enterprise Road in the crosswalk, against the “Don’t Walk” pedestrian signal. Investigators say 39-year-old Noah Downie was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue northbound on McMullen Booth Road approaching Enterprise Road with a green traffic light. Downie initially did not see Davis crossing the roadway in the dark and struck Davis with his vehicle.
Davis was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Investigators said that Downie appeared to be driving the speed limit and he showed no signs of impairment.
The investigation continues.
